The
Bayou Country Craft Show in Niceville, Florida is now history and from my perspective it was a success. I signed up at the last minute and as a result, my booth was at the end of a hall and away from the main traffic flow. I shared the room with one other jewelry vendor. I sold enough to pay for my space and then some. I saw a lot of my business cards leave the booth which hopefully will send traffic to my websites. I also gained some experience with how these events work. The potential web traffic and experience are my measures of success. I plan to participate in a few more of these events for the same reasons. Do I want a steady diet of this? Probably not. But I do think that it is a good idea to participate in several events each year to establish and maintain a "real person" presence. If you have a craft show scheduled, I wish you much success!
