Just CrossStitch Magazine Design

I'm pleased to announce that I have a design published in the January/February 2010 issue of Just CrossStitch magazine. Isaiah 61:11 appears on pages 21-23. The verse reads:

"For as the earth bringeth
forth her bud,
and as the garden causeth
the things that are
sown in it to spring forth,
so the Lord God will cause
righteousness and praise
to spring forth before
all the nations."

This is the perfect sampler to stitch as you sit by a warm fire this winter and contemplate the colorful beauty that spring will soon bring!

Birds of a Feather

I was browsing through my Etsy Favorites and observed that three out of my four most recent favorite items were birds! So I decided that it was time to feature my bird favorites...

Cardinals are absolutely my favorite birds. My mother also loves cardinals and at Christmas I seem to be attracted to ornaments, dishes, whatever, if it has a cardinal theme. This is an absolutely gorgeous photograph of a male cardinal and is available for purchase at BedermannArt:

Next on my list of favorite bird items is this cute clay Christmas ornament by Dyche Designs:

These simple earrings from sTuck in the Coop make me smile:

This art print pendant necklace from HJM Gifts would pair beautifully with the earrings above:

Finally, the perfect gift tags for all those bird theme gifts are also on my list of favorite bird items. Check these out at Articulations:

Be sure to take a look at these an many other great items at Etsy!
